How to Run Android Apps on Your Desktop the Easy Way

BlueStacks is essentially a self-contained virtual machine that runs Android apps on your Windows 7 computer. Why would anyone want to do this? Well, suppose you have an app that you really like and there’s no proper desktop equivalent. You can run it on your main computer instead of on your tiny little Android phone.

Currently, BlueStacks only runs on Windows 7, hhey seem to be working on a version for Windows XP and Vista as well as Mac OS X.

p.s. I haven't checked it out, those who try please do provide a feedback to help members stay better informed

New freeware program to inspire your photography.

"Hello everyone,

I've written some software which can help you think of new ideas for your
photography. The software works on Windows, MacOS and Linux.

When you run it, words & phrases float across the screen, mixing and
overlapping. Lean back and watch until a combination of ideas appears that gives
you inspiration...

The 'photography inspiration' wordlist is built-in, just choose it in the
'words' menu.

Free download here -> http://mindsnow.com/

I think this will be particularly useful for anyone who is on a '1-a-day'
personal quest to try new themes & challenges in photography and needs some
ideas [or anyone seeking thought-provoking themes for a local photography club
competition.]

Hope you find it useful as I do

Regards

Graeme.

p.s. It's totally freeware, and not a trial or demo."

PicsLikeThat

PicsLikeThat

"PicsLikeThat offers a visually delightful way to look for
images that will be most useful. Visitors just need to enter a search term into their search engine, and they will have a grid display of relevant images returned to their computer screen. Visitors can click on each result to find out more information about each image, and they can also look for additional images based on certain characteristics, such as color or shape. The interface is quite intuitive, and it's also a bit fun. This version is compatible with all operating systems."
