MP4Cam2AVI

MP4Cam2AVI is MPEG4/MJPEG to AVI converter/joiner for MPEG-4 camcorders and digital photo cameras (also cell phones that shoot video in MP4 format). Itrepackages video content to AVI container without video recompression, it's fastand loseless. Target AVI files are compatible with video editors like Windows
Movie Maker, Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas, etc.Program supports *.MP4, *.MOV, and *.AVI input containers. MJPEG video from photo-cameras is supported as well. Program converts *.MOV MJPEG clips to MJPEG AVI (without recompression) or to XviD MPEG-4 AVI (with recompression) in one click.

MP4Cam2AVI supports MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) video from new H.264 cameras like Sanyo CG65 and Casio EX-V7 (to view target AVI, H.264 VfW codec needed, i.e latest FFDShow).

By default, MP4Cam2AVI doesn't recompress video, that means no quality loss and fast operation (5-20x realtime, depending on audio settings). Audio can be stored in source format, or converted to MP3 (best for DVD-MPEG4 players) or PCM (best for editing).

MP4Cam2AVI converts MPEG-4 ASP *.MP4 files from Nero Recode (MPEG-4 ASP video/AAC audio) to DivX AVI format with MP3 audio - it's fast and loseless for video.

Unlike many converting apps, MP4Cam2AVI doesn't require QuickTime or any codecs to work, it performs all the job itself.

Pistashio – The New Way to Save and Sort Bookmarks

Pistashio is an online hub where users can save and store all the articles, photos, videos, reviews, books, and music they find online. It is an app that brings many functions together under one roof. One of the cool things about Pistashio is that you can set reminders. It will automatically email or tweet you the link. You can also set up the service to post your favorite links on Facebook or Twitter.

One thing that makes Pistashio different from basic bookmarking applications is that it only saves links that fall into five distinct categories-food, video, reading, listening, and to-do-and the majority of this content is actually embedded on the site for easy referencing. When you add a YouTube video, for example, Pistashio embeds the video on its site rather than making you click away to watch it again.

Pistashio can be used in a number of different ways, depending on what you're interested in and how you want to use the service.

PDF reader lets researchers organize, search and annotate articles

For researchers in scientific and academic worlds, carrying out research can often involve handling many, many articles in PDF format.  Now in beta, the new reader tool for Mac and Windows can perform full-text searches across a library of academic PDF articles, and even offers outside recommendations based on those the user reads.

Users of ReadCube can create an article library instantly, importing their existing PDFs in a single step as well as downloading in one click any related articles they want from PubMed, Google Scholar or publisher websites. ReadCube will automatically identify the author, title, and journal citation information for every article, and has the ability to search for text across the entire library. The platform also enables users to annotate articles with in-line comments, highlights and sticky notes, and can import citation information to EndNote or other citation software. In addition, ReadCube recommends new, related articles every day, helping users stay on top of what’s new in their field.
